KIDS KORNER : "White as Snow" Do you have snow where you live? I live near Buffalo,
New York and we have lots of snow in the winter. When the snow first falls and covers all outdoors, it is beautiful! Everything looks clean and pure. The dead leaves, brown plants and leafless trees become
sparkling white. Jesus' love and forgiveness are like that clean, fresh snow. He loves us so much that He takes away our sin and covers us with His forgiveness so that we are clean and pure. We are His
spotless children! Next time you see clean, white snow, remember you are God's child - washed clean because Jesus died and rose for you!
Prayer: Thank you, Jesus, for loving me so much that you would die and rise again to take away my sin. Thank you for making me clean! Amen.
"...wash me, and I will be whiter than snow." "Snow Play" Place clean snow in a plastic tub. Use measuring cups, spoons and molds for snow sculpture.
You may want to wear mittens or gloves for this. (Note: Use white packing foam pieces if your area doesn't have snow.)
Pack snow on a styrofoam or small plastic tray. Bring it inside and paint the snow with watercolors. (Cover your table with old towels or rags to absorb the melting snow.)
Use outer clothing such as hats, boots, raincoats, mittens, etc. to sort by color, size, or by the part of the body on which you wear them. Older children can sort mittens and boots by left and right.
